How to take the test
The sample can be collected easily at home or by your medical practitioner with a simple finger prick to provide a blood sample.
Preparation
Wash your hands with warm water and soap, then dry them completely.
Clean the fingertip with an alcohol swab and allow it to air dry.
Remove the cap from the sample tube and twist off the lancet’s safety seal.
Provide the sample
Place the lancet on your fingertip and press firmly to activate.
Wipe away the first drop of blood.
Use the capillary tip to collect the blood, collect at least 200 µL (0.2 mL) of blood — about 4 drops from your finger.
Arrange Collection
Store the kit in the refrigerator (2–8°C) until ready for transport. You can then:
- Return it to your practitioner, or
- Arrange a courier by contacting orders@optiway.co.za, or
- Drop it off personally at Building B, First Floor, Alenti Office Park, 457 Witherite St, The Willows, Pretoria, 0040
